For those that don’t know me I have been around in the fitness industry for what seems like an eternity. I first began competing in the early 90’s (1992) in bodybuilding shows mainly because back then that was all there was. Figure and fitness were yet to be introduced as a sport.
My first competition was the under 52 kg division in the Dubbo Classic where I won my first show. From the moment I stepped on stage I loved it. The satisfaction I got from putting in the work and reaping the rewards was fantastic and totally addictive which is part of the reason that I still compete today.
I have been dancing and performing since about the age of 10 and naturally leaned towards the new figure division which eventually evolved into the fitness category that I compete in today.
I have competed with both NABBA and the IFBB and held numerous state titles with both federations. I have won 2 national titles in 2000 and 2001 and placed top 3 in 1998 and 2002. I have also had the opportunity to represent Australia at 3 IFBB World Amateur titles in Europe and Brazil.
In 2003 I was awarded my pro card with the IFBB and have been traveling to the USA since 2004 to compete on the pro circuit. In 2005 I place in the top 10 at 3 shows.
Over the years I have learned so much and I still believe that I learn something each time I step on stage. With 15 years of competitive experience I have a wealth of knowledge that I would love to pass on to other competitors that are just starting out and who are just discovering the great sport of Physique competitions.
I love what I do and I look forward to passing on my knowledge to help others be the best they can be.
